MSAC Closures and Access Points during 2025 Grand Prix

Preparations are well underway for the Formula One Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, and like always, the event will cause significant disruptions to the precinct and SSCT venues for a period before, during and after the event.  

Preparations are well underway for the Formula One Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, and like always, the event will cause significant disruptions to the precinct and SSCT venues for a period before, during and after the event.  

The Albert Park lockdown commences at 12.01am Tuesday 11 March and continues to 11.59pm Monday 17 March. During this time the entire precinct is considered a Grand Prix event space, including parts of SSCT venues. 

MSAC will partially close from 10 March to 17 March, reopening on Tuesday 18 March.

During this period, the main entry, reception, Sir Albert café, our stadiums (including basketball, Table Tennis and Badminton stadiums), and leisure pool spaces will be closed. 

The outdoor pool, hydrotherapy pools, gym, group fitness, cycle, yoga and pilates spaces will remain open. To access outdoor pool, and aquatic café, please use the northern airbridge or ground floor entry, to access the hydrotherapy pool, yoga and pilates spaces, please use the southern airbridge to access the venue.

The Aquatics café will open 7am-3pm during the shutdown. 

Access to the venue will be via the aquatics entry or multi-deck car park airbridges only. 

MSAC multi-deck car park will remain open. Access during the shutdown period is via Cecil St/Albert Rd only. 

MSAC Stadiums car park will be closed from 7am Monday 10 March, reopening Tuesday 18 March.
