November 18 – 24 marks SWIMSAFER Week, and a chance for people everywhere to focus on their swim safety skills heading into Summer.

November 18 – 24 marks SWIMSAFER Week, and a chance for people everywhere to focus on their swim safety skills heading into Summer.

This year, floating to survive is in the spotlight, and teaching everyone how to float in situations that may save their lives in the water.

  1. Keep calm and control your breath.
  2. Lean back and float.
  3. Spread your arms and legs for balance.
  4. Use a circular motion to maintain buoyancy.
  5. Signal for help.

Here at MSAC, we’re focusing on all type of water safety with a bunch of different activities to keep our kids safe in the pool, at the beach and in waterways.

Our Learn to Swim lessons will look a little different this week as we set up activities around the pool to help little ones understand water safety, including what to pack when heading out to the beach for sun safety, and how to call triple zero in case of an emergency.
