Melbourne City’s Powerchair Team are welcoming new players to join the team, with Open Trials commencing in October.
The team was established in 2015 – becoming the first Melbourne-based A-League team to form a Powerchair team – and competes in the Victorian Powerchair League, welcoming all ages, all genders and all abilities.
Powerchair Football is a competitive team sport which was developed specifically for powerchair and electric wheelchair users.
The sport combines the skill of the wheelchair user with the speed and power of the chair. It’s played on an indoor basketball court with two teams of four on the court.
Interested in joining the team? Open trials will commence on Monday 14 October and will extend across a nine week period.
The open trials will take place on Mondays between 4:00-5:45pm at the State Sport Centres – Parkville. For more information, head to melbournecityfc.com.au
