The best men’s and mixed netballers come to Melbourne 2025

The 2025 Australian Men’s & Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) National Championships will be contested at the State Netball Centre, Parkville between April 13 – 19, 2025.

The 2025 Australian Men’s & Mixed Netball Association (AMMNA) National Championships will be contested at the State Netball Centre, Parkville between April 13 – 19, 2025.

The competition is open to every state and territory in Australia, with likely representation from New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and home state Victoria.  Representation will be confirmed when entries close later this year.  The championships regularly include invitational teams from Singapore, First Nations and the Australian Defence Force.

Victorian Men’s & Mixed Netball Association (VMMNA) President, Sonya Febbo expressed her excitement to see the Championships return to Victoria.

“It’s been 5 years since Victoria hosted the AMMNA National Championships and since that time the popularity of men’s and mixed netball has skyrocketed. 

VMMNA along with many other state men’s netball associations have developed men’s competitions which continue to grow in number year on year, as does the participation of boys in netball”.

“VMMNA are delighted to be hosting the National Championships in April 2025, it’s always great to play in your home state in one of the best netball facilities in the world”.

AMMNA was formed in 1985, Victoria and South Australia were the founding members with the first ever Men’s and Mixed Netball Championship played in Melbourne in April 1985.

The Championships now consists of 7 divisions:  Open Men’s, Open Men’s Reserve, 23 & Under Men, 20 & Under Men, 17 & Under Boys, Open Mixed and Open Mixed Reserve.   

Victoria has had great success in recent years at the National Championships in 2024 Victoria played in 6 Grand Finals winning 4 Championship titles.  The home state will be keen to go one better in 2025. Teams compete to win a national title and vie for Australian selection.
