Water Polo
MSAC hosts a number of water polo events and training sessions for both social play and competition in both our state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor pools.
Water Polo Overview
Water polo, or the game of “football in the water”, was founded by Mr William Wilson of London in 1844 and later became known as what we know it today—water polo! Water polo is a team water sport that consists of six field players and one goalkeeper. Water polo is played by both men and women and is the longest-standing team sport in the Olympic Games, being first introduced in Paris in 1900. The sport is governed by FINA, the world aquatic body, and is played in more than 100 countries.
