Outdoor Pool Update
MSAC’s outdoor pool set to re-open in August 2025.
Since April, State Sport Centres Trust has been undertaking the essential refurbishment of MSAC’s outdoor pool that has required it to be closed.
From the outset of the project we said the work would be completed in August, and we remain on track for that timeline. We will share a specific opening date as soon as we can.
We’re appreciative of the patience and co-operation of pool users during this unavoidable disruption, including our sports partners, event hirers, members and casual users.
SSCT has worked alongside specialist contractors to deliver this work, which has included draining the pool, dismantling, removing and replacing the moveable pool floor , repairing parts of the pool tank and replacing the pool’s waterproof liner. It’s the first time since the pool opened in 2006 that we have completed intensive maintenance which ensures the facility remains fit for purpose for years to come.
