MSAC receives Platinum Pools status
Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre has successfully continued its participation in the esteemd Platiunum Pool Program.
State Sport Centres is thrilled to announce that Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), has once again received Platinum Pools status from Life Saving Victoria (LSV). Out of 580 public pools in the state, MSAC is one of only 40 public pools that has Platinum Pool status.
To be recognised as a Platinum Pool facility, venues must demonstrate excellence in safety and operational practices, including:
- Complete an annual Pool Safety Assessment, with Gold endorsement
- Participate in Mystery Guest Visits for quality assurance
- Continue to adhere to the ‘Watch Around Water’ child supervision program
- Continue to adhere to the ‘SwimSafe’ adult and vulnerable swimmer supervision program
LSV Senior Manager – Aquatic Industry Services, Alex Olszewski said that MSAC’s “continued participation in the Platinum Pool Program is a testament to their dedication and hard work. Their efforts in upholding superior safety standards set a benchamark for others in the industry.”
SSC General Manager – Venues, Fiona Preston said, “Getting certified for Platinum Pools requires an exhaustive and detailed annual process of review and documentation and is a particularly important certification for the State Aquatic Centre. Congratulations to all involved for their hard work that continues to be recognised.”
