On 31 March 2022, Minister Pakula formally announced the appointment of Kate Roffey to the role of CEO with the State Sport Centres Trust, commencing 10 May 2022.

Kate has extensive leadership experience in the government, commercial and sporting sectors.

Most recently, she has held the role of Director, Deals, Investments and Major Projects at the City of Wyndham, overseeing the delivery of the Western United A-League Project – a 60-hectare sporting, commercial and residential precinct.

She is also President of the premiership-winning Melbourne Football Club, and Deputy Chancellor of Victoria University Council.

She was previously CEO of the Committee for Melbourne, and prior to that supported the team at Tennis Australia that secured the Victorian Government’s near $1 billion Melbourne Park redevelopment agreement in 2012.

Kate was also CEO of VicSport, and a founding member of the International Women’s Foundation Australia.

On behalf of the Trust, I thank Tim Bamford who has acted in the role of Interim CEO since February and will remain for some additional time to ensure a smooth transition.
