Melbourne set to soar higher with major boost from Victorian Government for world class athletics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oceania\u2019s one and only World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meet, the Maurie Plant Meet \u2013 Melbourne<\/em><\/strong>, <\/em>is stepping up to a new level this season, with the backing of the Victorian Government through its Significant Sporting Events Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The premier one-day meet at Lakeside Stadium on Saturday, March 29 will be supercharged, further highlighting the event\u2019s status as the centre piece of the Chemist Warehouse Summer of Athletics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the boost in investment, Athletics Australia will look to amplify the meet\u2019s offerings, bringing greater international and domestic talent to Melbourne\u2019s world-renowned sporting stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
