DESCRIPTION:Following the unforgettable success of last year’s Chemist Warehouse Australian All School Athletics Championships\, Australian Athletics is excited to announce Lakeside Stadium as the next host for the nation’s premier school-aged athletics meet. \n\n\n\nMore than just a competition\, the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships is a breeding ground for the next generation of Australian stars\, many of whom will fly the flag at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. \n\n\n\n“Just under a year ago\, Gout Gout made headlines when he stormed to the Australian 200m record at the Australian All Schools Championships in Brisbane and while performances like that are rare\, they remind us just how special these Championships can be\,” Australian Athletics CEO Simon Hollingsworth said. \n\n\n\n“Athletes like Claudia Hollingsworth\, Sebastian Sultana and Thewbelle Philp were all competing at All Schools just a short time ago\, and now they’re wearing green and gold on the world stage. It shows the power of this event not just as a launchpad for greatness but as an exciting celebration of the next generation.” \n\n\n\nWith crowds\, colour and the raw energy of teen talent\, the Championships have become a celebration of grassroots athletics and a key milestone on the national pathway. Past competitors have included some of the sport’s most iconic names\, including Catherine Freeman\, Steve Hooker\, Sally Pearson and Nina Kennedy. \n\n\n\n“Melbourne is a city steeped in athletics history and over the last few years has become the place to be for athletes across the world\, thanks to the Maurie Plant Meet – Melbourne. We’re thrilled to bring this event back to Melbourne and continue the momentum towards Brisbane 2032\,” Hollingsworth said.The 2025 edition will take place from 4-7 December\, with the National Schools Challenge taking place the following day on December 8.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nTickets are only available through online purchase. \n\n\n\nGates will have QR codes available for on-site ticket purchasing. Tickets will be available to purchase throughout the championship.
